Nguyễn Huệ Flower Street 2012

January 21th, the morning of day before new year's eve. This year, I was to stay in Ho Chi Minh city too late so having time to hang out on Nguyễn Huệ Flowers Street - Spring festival of Lunar New Year in Ho Chi Minh city

a big Bánh chưng by flowers ^^!
[Bánh chưng and bánh dầy: essentially tightly packed sticky rice with meat or bean  Bánh chưng (rectangular to represent Earth) and bánh dầy (circular to represent Sky) are symbolically connected with Tết and are essential in any Tết celebration.]

Tò he (toy figurine) is a traditional toy for children in Vietnam which is made from glutinous rice powder in form of edible figurine such as animals, flowers or characters in folk stories.
